Annual Community Christmas Festival
In December the Annual Community Christmas Festival is held. Enjoy the wonders of Christmas, mixed with small-town ethnic traditions. Attend the Swedish Heritage Center open house. Climax is Christmas carol sing-along in the evening at the city Auditorium. Contact: Mona Tanksley, (402) 685-5382.
Swedish Heritage Center
The Swedish Heritage Center opened in 1989 and is nationally recognized. The Center is Oakland's own Swedish museum and gift shop, open all year (weekends, October-April; every day except Mondays, May-Sept.).
Free Admission. Free monthly cultural programs. A "must" to see and enjoy in the Swedish Capital of Nebraska.

You're always welcome at spacious and beautiful Oakland City park. There are six camping pads. No established fees, but donations are welcome.
